December 3 -- PageMaker Mini-tutorial
We'll do a mini-tutorial on how to create documents that are easily edited, and whose physical appearance can be quickly changed with little effort. Although I'll be using PageMaker, most of the techniques are available in any modern page layout or word processing program.
Documents often change in appearance, either because the customer decides that they want something as simple as a font change, or a little more room in the gutter, or change the heading styles, to a major change such as reformatting for a different sized publication. There are ways of setting up the document so that these changes can be accomplished with relatively little effort. ("Relatively little effort" is, of course, a relative term -- just like the British call a radio a "wireless" because it uses less wire than it otherwise might have, but that doesn't mean it doesn't use any wire at all!)
Remember, the meetings are free and open to the public. Please bring a friend.
