May 13 -- Creating a Web Site with DreamWeaver
presented by Roy Prince
A small change in plans, but a great improvement in the presentation: this month Roy Prince will show us how he creates web pages and maintains a site using DreamWeaver.
Roy is the justifiably proud creator of www.homeexchange.com, a significant web site that has attracted attention. This site has been evolving over time, and so have the tools he has used to create the pages. His current favorite is DreamWeaver, but he has had experience with several others and knows the features and foibles of each.
We will have a live connection to the web and Roy will demonstrate not only the creation of web pages but also the process of placing them on the web.
Many ISPs (Internet Service Providers) now provide several megabytes of space for their customers (that's you!) to put pages on the Web. Come see how it's done -- it's really quite easy! No, you don't have to buy an expensive program like DreamWeaver to make quite acceptable pages: but if you're going to do a lot of complicated pages then DreamWeaver is quite attractive, even at its several-hundred dollar price.
I hope you bring questions so we cover the topics you are interested in.
Remember, the meetings are free and open to the public. Please bring a friend.
